It wasnt on anandtech, but heres what happened..
I sold this guy a copy of windows 2000
He paid via paypal and I shipped as he asked me to.
I get an email after he gets it that I claimed that it included office 2000.
He says he wants a refund and he is sending it back.
at no point did I indicate or mention office in my emails to him. So, I told him that I would not refund his money.
He replies saying he is going to take legal action against me if I dont.
He has a hotmail address, so I emailed hotmail and forwaded out emails. They found him to be in violation of their TOS (on the grounds of fraud-i think).
"We have taken appropriate action in accordance with the Hotmail Terms of Service (TOS) to the account that you reported. It is a strict violation of the TOS..."
so, I get the copy of windows 2000 back today.
Since I told him that I would not accept a refund, is it mine to keep?
and what legal action could he take against me?
