Deals on Turbo Tax?

I am looking to see if anyone knows of any deals out there for using TurboTax for the web. I remember seeing some promotions at different sites last year, but I can't seem to think of any of them and have had no luck finding any.

Is anyone aware of any deals out there?

I used TT Online last year, and got an e-mail with a half-price promotion for this year. I think the code can only be used once, however.

costco has turbotax for ~$15 or 20 after rebate and free state after rebate i believe.

yah, you can get it at costco for $14.99, but you have to have a coupon code for $10 off, it's this week only. Sells for $34.99, then $10 coupon, then $10 rebate. Just got mine today, so I don't have the coupon code anymore. Sorry.

check out worstbuys... The flyer states free Norton Systemworks, Anti-spyware and personal firewall with purchase of any deluxe tax software. Just so happens TurboTax deluxe is 29.99 and comes with a $10 GC. But by purchasing TurboTax deluxe u also get TurboTax State and Quicken Basic for free. Plus McAffe anti-spyware also comes free with the purchase of any tax software. Given that's a lot of rebates.. but you could try.... else I always like VITA for me who was a low income student just transfering to the real working world.

I think they take anybody but the site specifies income of $36K and below only.

Actually, you don't need the coupon in hand always. Quite often, the cashiers will have it up front, and they'll scan the coupon for you. You can only use each passbook coupon once though, per account number, I believe.

Also, most of the "specials" for additional free items with your TurboTax purchase are actually manufacturer rebates, and you do not have to purchase TT at the same store as your additional items. Makes for a really hot deal when you buy TT @ Costco for only $15. Oh, and the Costco rebates are super easy and fast to fill out online too!

i got mine from costco for $34- $10 IR - $10MIR yesterday. I didn't have to give my coupon. The cashier used the personal copy. I guess costco doesn't expect same person to buy more than one copies of turbotax ;-)

If you order online at costco.com, the $10 coupon code is not needed. It says "The $10 manufacturer's coupon will be automatically deducted at checkout. No coupon number is needed.

Printed out page and took to Staples for a PM, who happens to sell it for $39.99. So, PM to Costco's price which is $24.99 - $1.50 (110% PM guarantee) - $10 Intuit MIR = $13.49 - $15 off $75 coupon (YMMV) = - $1.50

Plus, free TurboTax State after MIR and free Quicken Basic 2005 after MIR.

He beat me to it...this is what I did this year. You just link to it from the IRS site, and it costs nothing to efile Federal taxes. I should have my tax return direct deposited in two weeks or so. :thumbsup:

How we gonna get Norton for Free now? Norton will probably have to lower their renewal costs just to keep their market share since Windows is offering a free Anti-Virus.

Free? I thought m$ was going to charge for it once they release it? funny that they are marketing a spyware scanner and antivirus to find malicious-software that exploits their software problems... :roll:
