Id say the assumption he made seems pretty much right on. America is a wasteful society and this is as wasteful as they get

Someone agrees with me.

OMG please! It's a work truck built for a legitimate purpose. The thing could practically tow a semi-trailer.

Yaknow, I bet if this was an exotic sports car or a high-end luxury sedan, which cost even more and get just as poor fuel mileage, you guys would be creaming your pants over how cool it is...

Now, you were talking about waste...

Yep. 'Cause backwater hicks and rednecks have no trouble slapping down 70 large on a new truck just to keep up with the Joneses...

Isn't it amazing how some people think on this forum.

yeah, vic just jumped to a conclusion that has no support in the post

You know, work trucks got to have some luxury in them. Hell, I know some people who have "hay monsters" with cd/mp3 players in them.

By any means, this ride is not practical or suitable for most Americans. But there are a few companies who still cater to a very very niche market.

GM went and built the Homer!

In a couple years GM will be a Chapter in textbooks: How to run a Major Corporation into the Ground!

I would imagine it's built off a C4500 chassis which is 16,000 or 17,500 lbs GVWR.

This has been done for years - mostly for looks. As anything you could possibly fit in an eight foot bed could be easily be moved by a C3500 anyway. I imagine the only practical use is to have a 5th wheel trailer hitch in the bed and tow something big - but you don't really need a pickup bed for that. The whole bed thing is just ridiculous IMO.

I've done business with Monroe - we had several C3500HD trucks converted to 4 wheel drive by them. They do good work.

And to you people bitching about the interior - you DO know this is based off a work truck chassis right? Usually seen as dump trucks, or flatbed car haulers...

Oh, and Sheik Yerhouti needs to stop posting now.

Did they declare bankruptcy yet?

With retards wanting their company to make this, give it time.

I see this type of truck every day, without the LCD screens, they are used to haul milk to our cheese plant daily.
