why do only Americans seem to need big @ss trucks to haul stuff around, in no other country do you see so many of these big @ss suv's/trucks, they need to move/haul big stuff too, fact is only a small portion of the people who buy these use it for what they are meant for/best for.

This is not an SUV and a very large portion of people use them for what they are meant for.
What do you feel an SUV is designed for? What do you consider a big truck.?

The majority of the countries in the world do not have as much open space as we do, nor are their urban centers laid out like ours (space restriction = smaller roads, and more confined space).

Americans spend more time in their cars than any other culture in the world (we don't have a large scale public transportation system because it would be physically impossible, the country is so large scale that it takes a while to get to many destinations) - so it's only natural that the most accomodating vehicles sell best.

A guy I work with knows the guy that built this truck. I think he said he's asking $140,000. Not sure about the fuel mileage, though.

A friend of mine just bought a 2000 or 2001..not sure how much he paid, but I don't think it was over 20k. IIRC, he was getting ~17mpg highway with a bed loaded with maple. They're great trucks..

And the sad thing is my buddy's gf wants to drive around an F250/F350 duallie diesel as her daily driver one day. She ditched a project to restore a 60's Mustang (original 6-cylinder conversion), bought a Firebird, now sold that for a pre-Hemi Durango which means single digit city mileage in an overworked, underpowered V8 to haul her chunky butt along with her school books around town. :roll: Moron
