Enough with the freaking rain ok?

Seriously....we had 8 over inches in May and are over 10 inches now for June with another week to go. Basements have flooded. Farms are flooded. Rivers are up. Construction is taking a beating.

Bleh.

I'm fairly fed up as well. Haven't been many sunny days yet, although it has been warm.

Damn thunderstorms at 4am this morning kept me up as well.

IIRC you're in CR? We've just been getting pounded the last three or four days in Burlington, especially the last 24 hours. Have had a ton of crazy lightning in the last two hours, plus had a tornado warning last night.

Sounds like our summer last year, but this year has been much more sunny.

We had a lot of rain last year too, and also had the unseasonably cool temps along with it resulting in a lot of mold/crops rotting on the vine.

This has been a pretty warm spring/start of summer thus far. We had a stretch of 90 degree days in April, the last two weeks have been in the high 80's/90's and we've had a couple other weeks in a similar temp range.

Humidity has been off the charts and it's just a viscious cycle driving the storms. Heat builds up, draws up all that humidity and boom comes the thunderstorms.

yes and its already too god damn humid. at least last year that was kept in check by all the rain
I LOVE THE HUMIDITY! Bring on the heat.
I'm remember the cold, damp, summer last year all too well... kept wondering when our summer was going to begin! Every weekend seemed to suck. People had outdoor stuff planned, weddings, graduation parties and it would be raining and cold all the time.

Well, not sure where you are, but, I do know the pumpkin crops used for Libbys canned pumpkin rotted in the fields b/c of the over abundance of rain last year. Can't find canned pumpkin in the stores right now.

I'm about 20 minutes from Washington/Morton where the pumpkin fields and Libby's plant are.

They are calling it June-uary around here. Today is the first sunny day we have had pretty much all summer.

Add another 2-3 inches to the total. We just got piss pounded. Only stopping to post to give the shop vac a break from sucking water out of basement.

Screw you nature!

Bottle some up and send it this way. We haven't had any rain for 3 weeks now.

Farmers have been practically begging for rain around here. Meh, when it comes it'll be too much or too late or something. Farmers are never happy with the weather.
