4. Philadelphia Eagles - hahahahahaha...hold on...hahahahahaha

NFC South
1. Carolina Panthers - great defense. solid offense.
2. Atlanta Falcons - will Vick ever live up to his potential?
3. Tampa Bay Bucaneers - Simms is ok, gotta love Cadillac
4. New Orleans Saints - deuce/bush is an awesome backfield, but thats all they have

NFC North
1. Chicago Bears - top of a terrible division. no offense.
2. Minnesota Vikings - Johnson also needs a hip
3. Detroit Lions - all those players on offense...someone do something!
4. Green Bay Packers - poor Favre. retire already, please.

NFC West
1. Seattle Seahawks - reversing the madden curse.
2. Arizona Cardinals - absurd offense if they get protection
3. St Louis Rams - Meh.
4. San Francisco 49ers - only good player is the 36 year old Larry Allen

AFC East
1. Miami Dolphins - Daunte will be back, mark it
2. New England Patriots - Vinatieri is the only reason they won Superbowls. He's gone.
3. New York Jets - I like Pennington, but thats it
4. Bufallo Bills - self proclaimed best RB in football, not much otherwise

AFC South
1. Indianapolis Colts - I want to have Peyton Manning's babies.
2. Jacksonville Jaguars - questions at RB, but solid all around
3. Tennessee Titans - Young is a bust of Ryan Leaf-like proportions.
4. Houston Texans - Davis out for the season, could have used Reggie...

AFC North
1. Cincinati Bengals - Carson Palmer is incredible.
2. Baltimore Ravens - sick defense. McNair. I like them.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers - last year was a farce, subtract some key players, watch them fall
4. Cleveland Browns - will they ever find a center?

AFC West
1. San Diego Chargers - I'm a believer in Rivers. Plus they have LT.
2. Denver Broncos - a RB will fail here eventually...
3. Kansas City Chiefs - LJ is overhyped. o-line getting old. no defense.
4. Oakland Raiders - poor drafting, Moss is always a threat though

NFC Playoffs:
Cowboys, Panthers, Seahawks, Bears, Giants(WC), Falcons(WC)
AFC Playoffs
Dolphins, Colts, Chargers, Bengals, Patriots(WC), Ravens(WC)

Superbowl:
Colts over Cowboys

edit: I apoligize if I didn't pick your team to win the division. Don't get your panties in a wad, if it makes you feel better you can rub it in my face if I'm wrong. I don't care, I've already admitted that there will be plenty things that turn out different than what I have here, that's life in the NFL.

I do my best. Fine fine, here is my actual predicition of the Eagles: 'no #1 threat at WR. depth problems at RB. DEs are good but fragile. OL and secondary are good but overrated'

LOL you don't have to defend yourself. People can blame TO all they want for last year, the real reason they sucked is just one little letter: D.

I agree with you on almost everything. I say Broncos take the west or at least the wild card. I too wish to have Peyton's babies, I will give you Miami over NE but I think it will be very close. and I think the Falcon's will be lucky to get the wild card but if I had to pick someone, I would agree with you. Sleeper for 2nd WC spot in NFC to me is the Cardinals though, if like you said, they get some protection.

As far as the Chiefs, LJ is the real-deal, but will have a bit of a tougher time without Roaf.

1 questionable pick out of a bunch of solid ones doesn't mean he knows squat about football. I too disagree with him on that but other than that pretty solid picks with reasoning to back it up.

Hahaha, your predictions suck.

And you lost all credibility for believing the media hype and installing the Dolphins over the Pats, give me a break!

I cant believe I just read that.

meh, I don't think he's an NFL quarterback, I think he's a slower vick. In my opinion, HUGE mistake bypassing Leinart/Cutler for Young.

chargers making the playoffs after losing Brees' production? Over the Broncos?

Well, if you read, I clearly said "i'm a believer in Rivers", meaning I think he is a better QB than Brees, even if younger and less experienced. Some analysts said he was a better NFL prospect than Eli Manning that year, in case you've forgotten. Plus they have the best RB in football.

The wildcards were tough to pick. I'm hesitant to put the Falcons above the Bucs, I think that will be a tight battle for the #2 spot.

As far as the Chiefs, LJ is the real-deal, but will have a bit of a tougher time without Roaf.
He's a great RB don't get me wrong, I just keep reading all these 2000 yard predictions and rolling my eyes. I don't think he's THAT good.

Kinda like when you adamantly stated all year last year that the Patriots were winning the superbowl again. Whoops, that didn't happen. Whoops, you lost the guy that won you countless playoff/superbowl games. Oh no, your #1 receiver wants out, this after losing Givens too. Yikes, there goes a starting LB.

The Patriots are worse than they were last year, the Dolphins are better. It will be close, but I'm giving the nod to the Dolphins, and when it turns out true, I can't wait to rub it in your face. If they Patriots didn't make the playoffs, you would STILL claim they are somehow magically winning the Superbowl.

I believe the Redskins will be on top. Just a hunch.

AFC East will be New England.

Look out for Jacksonville...they may beat the colts.

We picked up Gabriel, and Branch isn't gone yet. Out WRs should be even better than last year if the Branch issue gets resolved. The only reason the Pats didn't go to the SB last season was the BS calls by the Refs.

Vinatieri won those SBs for the Pats? I think not. He had a large role in them sure, but he didn't single handedly win those games for us. It took a team effort to get the job done all 3 times.

I'll put money on that prediction of yours btw.

Branch has already said that he won't play even if he's not traded. And yes, Vinatieri won those Superbowls. Of course it was a team effort to get them to that point, but it was the fact that the Pats had the best clutch kicker in the game that WON them, and now he's gone.

Like I said, the Pats are still a good team, but they aren't as good as they were last year even IF Branch plays, which I highly doubt he will. The Dolphins are better. Thus, they have an excellent chance to dethrone the Pats in that division. That's alls I'm sayin.

Oh, and I've already got a few hundred bucks worth of bets goin with Eagles fans I know. I don't need to take your money, too. You're obviously in some altered state of mind, its kinda like how murderers can plead insanity and get away with what they did, I'd feel bad.

We've upgraded at RB, have one of the best Defensive Lines in the game, a top 10 offensive line, the best QB in the game, one of the deepest at TE in the game, as well as Bruschi, Colvin, Vrabel, and Harrison on Defense. Ellis Hobbs and Asante Samuel are very good Corners as well. Receiver we could be hurting at the loss of branch, but as shown by Preseason, our TE sets offset that. Hell, we won the Super Bowl in 2001 with Fred Coleman as a starting receiver, and Troy Brown as our #1.

Anyways, Culpepper will probably end up on IR before the end of the season, their defense is old (zach thomas and jason taylor are past their primes), and their secondary is suspect. They better hope they put up 30+ points a game. Even the Dolphins fan forums think the Pats will finish ahead of the Dolphins, lol.

Upgraded at RB? You added a rookie who has potential, but he's still a rookie, and Dillon is a year older. I wouldn't count on Maroney having 1000 yards this year. I don't care what you say, and I know you think he's the 2nd best of all time, but Tom Brady is not the best QB in the league. TE is deep, yes, but they don't have a #1 guy that competes with the pro bowlers in the league (Gates/Gonzales/Shockey/Crumpler/Heap/Witten). The front seven on defense is good, but they still lost a key player in McGinest. Their cornerbacks are not good. Average, but not good.

I'm not discounting that they are a good team, I'm saying they have holes, they are worse than last year, and it is my true, unbiased opinion that the Dolphins will take the division.

Was bored so I found last year's predictions.

Originally posted by: Deeko

Dallas will be greatly improved this year. Julius Jones is proving to be one hell of a back, and the addition of Anthony Thomas gives them a very solid backfield. The addition of Marco Rivera gives them 3 pro bowlers on the line. Drew Bledsoe, while not spectacular, is an improvement over Vinny T. The defense will be sick...take a solid unit from last year, add Anthony Henry and Aaron Glenn at CB opposite Terrance Newman. Damn good secondary. Signed Jason Fergusen, a solid nose tackle, and added two solid players in the first round in Demarcus Ware and Marcus Spears, should give them a solid front 7. Prediction: 10-6, wildcard
did ok here.
Minnesota:
They're going to be insane. My pick for winning the NFC. The offense is slightly worse without Randy Moss, but the addition of Troy Williamson in the first round helps offset that. The defense is so improved over last year...headlined with the addition of Fred Smoot at corner. I say 12-4, NFC champions
1-1.
Eagles:
As much as I hate to say it, they should win the NFC East again. With or without T.O. I don't think they'll be as good as last year, they lost a few players in free agency, but they'll still be solid. 11-5, NFC east champs
1-2.
Seahawks:
If they trade Shawn Alexander, they're finished. 8-8
guess not.
Rams:
Nothing spectacular overall, but always a solid offense. 9-7, champs of a pitiful division
1-4.

Panthers:
Had a rough season last year with all the injuries. Sure Mushin is gone, but Steve Smith is back. If they can stay healthy, they should win their division. 11-5, NFC south champs
2-4
Falcons:
One man show. Everything hinges on Vick. If he performs, they win, if he falters, they lose. They are hard to predict for because of that, but they'll still be a good team if he's on the field. 10-6, wildcard
2-5
Ravens:
Wow. Talk about defense. A secondary consisting of Chris MacAllister, Samuri Rolle, Deion Sanders, and Ed Reed? With Ray Lewis at MLB? I don't think I need to say anything else, best defense in the league. The offense should be improved. Todd Heap and Jonathen Ogden were out the majority of the year last year, they're back, Jamal lewis is out of jail, adding Derrick mason and Mark Clayton at WR are big improvements. If Kyle Boller can get over his growing pains with his new, better, healthier offense, they could make a superbowl run. 13-3, AFC North champs
oops.
Patriots:
Nothing necessary here. They're still amazing, although losing Bruschi could hurt if he leaves because of his stroke. My pick to win the AFC if the Ravens and Colts don't pan out. 12-4, AFC East champs
3-6, I'd say.
Colts:
Best offense in the NFL led by the best QB. If the defense improves they should win the conferance, don't try and tell me Manning can't win the big one. 13-3, AFC South champs
4-6
Kansas City:
Keep Priest Holmes and that sick o-line healthy and they are always contenders. The defense got completely retooled this year, they should be a very potent team. 11-5, AFC West champs
who needs priest? 4-7.
Chargers:
Still a good team, last years surprise team of the year has the best RB in the game. That Eli Manning deal certainly panned out well for them, didn't it? They'll have another good year, contend with the Chiefs in the AFC West. 11-5, wildcard
forgot about schottenheimer. 4-8

SB PREDICTION: AFC over NFC regardless, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Colts over Vikings.

Hopefully you'll do better this year than last. However you can argue about your Falcons/Rams/Kansas City predictions, where you were generally accurate in your words but not in your records.

Yea, its pretty difficult to predict exact records, and you counted it as a loss if I was more than one game off. With the exception of the Vikings, Eagles (both decimated by injury, nothing I could predict) and the Ravens (yea, I ****** up there, I'll admit it), I didn't do near as bad as you say.

edit: oh, and my comment on Seattle was "if they trade shaun alexander, they're finished", which was the basis of my 8-8 prediction. They obviously did not trade him, and he went on to be the NFL MVP, so I'd say that was pretty accurate.

Actually, I'd go with the Giants over the Cowboys. TO will go apesh!t around week 7 or so, and the season will go down the toilet.

I more counted against if you said playoffs and they didn't. Looking back a bit, KC was accurate, SD accurate in that they both finished over .500. Call it 5.5-6.5 and we'll call you a loser to the vig.

anywhere from 9-7 and 11-5. I just looked at their schedule and wow is it a laugher. They get the Jets twice and the Bills twice, @Min, @GBP, vs Detroit, vs Houston, @Ten. 9 games there and I'd say they will go at least 6-3 and probably even better. If they go 6-3 vs those they just have to pull a 2-5 vs Miami twice, @Jax, vs Chi, vs Indy, @Cin and vs Den to be 9-7.

You can have everything else, but my Broncos are winning the west. They were pretty close last year, until Pittsburgh schooled the sh** out of them. Hopefully they learned a lesson this off-season and made changes where needed.

Although, I do have to wonder as well. When will they stop pumping out 1,000 yard rushers?
