domanick davis isn't going to hurt the texans so much if the offensive line is any decent. if so, they'll be able to plug in whoever they want and have a 1000 yard rusher. no, who they could have used will be vince young. unless carr stops making freshman mistakes in the first 3 games he's the bust. maybe not ryan leaf like, but bust no less.

of course, how have first overall pick quarterbacks been? the browns picked tim crouch and look where it got them.

Yeah, even though the Bills are mediocre, they still aren't as lowly as the Jets. But I do agree with the division winner pick.

The OL has to give Carr time enough to throw the ball. Carr was sacked 68 times last year. Granted he has lots of room for improvement, but he needs better protection in order to minimize making mistakes.

EDIT: And I don't think anyone will bust as hard as Ryan Leaf did. I just looked at his stats and started LMFAO!!

With a few exceptions, very good pick. As long as Tom Brady is a Patriot and with Bellichick's defense, that team has a chance to win the Super Bowl. My Denver Broncos is a toss up, because of Jake the Snake, is he going to improve from last year or revert to the bad old days where he threw the game away. The lost to the Steelers was quite painful, almost a bad as when John Elway and the crew lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 1996 season divisional playoff game.

How dare you besmirch the name of John Elway! And you call yourself a Broncos fan...:|

Lets not forget that the Jets went to the playoffs two years ago...with a healthy Pennington, I don't think they are as bad as the Bills. Neither team is very good regardless.

I believe I already said that one was a close call, but Atlanta added some key players, and I didn't really see that from the Bucs. Plus those guys on defense that took them to a Superbowl win in 2002 aren't exactly spring chickens.

2. New York Giants - Tiki has to wear down some time
People have been saying that for a long time and he's proven them wrong year after year. Brandon Jacobs is a very capable backup.
If the Giants don't win the East it won't be because of Tiki, it will be because they have the most brutal schedule ever.

Deeko you suck, how can you put the Eagles last in the East when you live in Philly?? Come on, even you know their being underrated by drunken analysts on ESPN, don't buy into the BS.

I don't see why people are getting so up in arms about the Dolphins being ranked over the Pats. Miami is everyones favorite team to excel this year, and the Pats lost their kicker, people on defense, and haven't convinced Branch to stick around yet. Aside from Mr. Patriot PaulE, I don't see how any of you can have a problem with such a prediction.

Perknose I've already got several bets with Eagles fans around the area, you'll have to get in line. At best they'll finish 3rd, if the Redskins resume their usual suckiness.

BrokenVisage...no, the Eagles just aren't that good. All I hear from Eagles fans is "we went to the NFC championship 3 times with this team!" and yes, a lot of the core players are still there, but not all of them, some of them, like the OT's and Brian Dawkins, are getting up there in age, and honestly, the rest of the conferance and especially the division is much better now.

Exactly what I was thinking...

No, confirmed by a panel of NFL analysts, both dead and alive. They all agree unanimously, duh.

 the confirmed is a throwback to the old days of AT, like back in 2000-2001, I can't help it you're too much of a newb.

I think Dallas has a lot of problems out there that could be seriously exposed.

Bledsoe is OLD and has the 40 time of a three toed sloth. Dude can't scramble to save a baby from a burning building. TO is a comment or two away from a locker room brawl. Terry Glenn is getting a bit old in the tooth and has had some durability problems. Julius Jones is a decent back, but he's had some durability problems too.

I just see them as one team that can dominate a game one week, and then be shut out the next.

In the NFC I like Carolina this year.

The Eagles have better WRs now than they had when they got to the NFC championship numerous times. TO wasn't on the team the first couple times, and he was injured during all of the playoff games when they went to the superbowl.

Here are my issues with your predictions:
NFC East - all out of order. The Cowboys will have line problems again and finish 9-7 or so.
Falcons over the Buccs? Are you high?
Bengals and Ravens over the Steelers? I can see the Bengals, but the Ravens are way too hyped. Maybe this will work if Big Ben is out all season.
Chargers over the Broncos? I question whether the Chargers will even be over the Chiefs. Broncos will win that division.

Bledsoe never could run, and running was never one of his strengths. He's a pocket passer.

Now if Vick lost his ability to run, what you'd have is a sub-par QB. Bledsoe isn't that old and is still a great pocket QB.

Marino wasn't quick, Montana wasn't quick, Favre isn't quick.

They have better receivers than they have in the past 5+ years, discounting the games that TO actually played in. They still won in the postseason without him.

Their running back depth is also better than it's been since Duce left. Buckhalter is back and looked pretty good in preseason. Moats is another Westbrook style back with some fumbling issues. Bruce Perry and Reno Mahe won't see playing time hopefully, but they can gain yards is Reid sticks to the run.

Kearse and Howard are fragile? News to me. They also have great backups in Cole and Thomas. McDougle is decent, but hasn't really done much since being shot last year.

First team OL is huge. Garcia can't even see over them. I agree that the secondary is overrated. Lewis gets burned often.

The major problem I see are the LBs. Beyond Trotter and Barber, name one? Trotter can't protect against the pass because of his knees, and the other LBs are soft or inexperienced. They tend to give up a lot of short passes underneath while the secondary is covering the deep routes. Means big games for TEs, receiving RBs, and slot receivers against the Eagles D.

Your predictions absolutely suck.

I bet you won't even be right 50% of the time.
