Oh you gotta love those Titans. They're back to what they did in the Super Bowl days: Win as ugly as you can.

So long as he gets one thing right, we'll get to hear his gloating at season end. Can't wait.

The superbowl is the most important one....

and lets be serious, this year the NFL has been pretty wacky. You can gloat that I said the Packers, Titans, and Steelers would be bad, but no one expected teams like the Browns or Bucs to be winning games (oh, and no one thought Detroit would have a winning record either....except me)

As soon as the lions win 9 games, then you can safely say they have a winning record for the season, but until then they could always do what they have done before and end up falling apart.

You also picked Philly to make the playoffs and the Giants to have 5 wins.
But to be fair most people picked like that.

Yes, there are others that haven't panned out as I picked them either, but a lot of them still have time to rebound. I really think the Eagles are better than 3-5...I doubt they'll make the playoffs at this point, I think they can finish around 8-8. The Giants...I'm still not high on them, as you know. We'll see what happens with them as the season goes on.

The Eagles have no offensive weapons (aside from Westbrook). I don't know how they're going to win games when teams have no fear of a long ball.

The Giants already won 6 games. Granted, the schedule has been weak, but for that predicition to be near accurate the can't win another game this year. But I don't fault your predicition really, most people thought that way.

Kevin Curtis is a deep threat, and McNabb's strength is the long ball. Reggie Brown has disappointed this year, but the real problem is the offensive line...if Thomas and Runyan can shape up, the Eagles are still a legitimate team. As for the Giants, obviously they will do better than 5-11, but lets not forget they started 6-2 last year as well. They're on pace for 12-4, I see more like 9-7 myself, at this point anyway. But that's just me. Like you said, they've done a lot better than most people thought they would.

Man your predictions suck. They are very similar to all preseason sports media I've read.
Must be just a coincidence, right? OOoooooor you're just another Jim Rome clone.

Go eagles! McNabb! His Knees!

you still have to go through Favre in the playoffs, who is playing ridiculous football right now.

and to add to that, i see either the Boys or the Packers beating the Pats (should they make it)

Jime Rome gets paid a lot more money than I do to talk about sports, so I'll take that as a compliment.

pretty sure he was saying you just copy what the popular sports talking heads say and post them as your own original thoughts.

Deeko >= Jime Rome, obviously that's what he meant.

Some of my wrong predictions were mirrored by the sports media world - balitmore and cincy being good, for instance...however some of my predictions, both bad and good, you didn't find too many sportswriters saying, such as green bay and pittsburgh being bad, or Detroit being good, or even Dallas going to the superbowl in the NFC.

This year has been pretty wacky, and I'll admit I made some pretty bad calls in the preseason, but one thing my predictions are not is a copy of sports media.

As much as I would LOVE the Packers to win the superbowl, I don't see how they (or Dallas) could beat the Pats.

didn't hear many sports writers saying dallas would go to the superbowl??? lol are you kidding? half the ones i watched said it. you can claim originality until you are red in the face, but if your predictions are anywhere near what people in mainstream sports media are saying then people will always say you got it from them. such is life.

3. Steelers (6-10) - Once again the biggest farce of a championship team will show us that Roethlisburger is amazingly overrated.

LMAO, Ben carrierd them to that title game with one of the most impressive playoff runs by a QB the NFL has seen. Career QB rating puts him among the top 5 all time. I think your Cowboy love definitely got the best of you with that opinion.

hdeck - I saw most people picking either the Eagles or Saints, in fact, I can only remember one even picking Dallas to win their division. The consensous was no one knows if Romo is really any good, Wade Phillips is a downgrade at coach, so the Cowboys are questionable. I don't care where people think I got mine from.

Alistar - until this year, Roethlisberger has been nothing more than a game manager. He's played impressively now that they've "set him loose" so to speak, but in his first two seasons he barely threw the ball...it was their defense and running game that carried them primarily. Then last year he was horrible - granted he had some issues. He's looked very good this year, I'll give you that.

Dilfer won a SB as a game manager, yet he did not put up a rating like Ben. During the playoff run leading to the SB, he won those games with his arm.

AFC Wild Card Game 1/8 at Cincinnati: 148.7 passer-rating.
AFC Divisional Game 1/15 at Indianapolis: 95.3 passer-rating.
AFC Championship Game 1/22 at Denver: 124.9 passer-rating.

Averaged 25 attempts per game his first two seasons, including the playoffs. Up to 29 per game the last two seasons, not a significant increase IMO. Consistent with his accuracy throughout, even though his pass protection the past two years has been horrible. First half of last year was a wash considering the issues he faced. Look at his career stats/winning % compared to Manning/Brady/(Montana even) and tell me he is overrated.
