I couldn't find total console sales. but I'm pretty sure PS3 has a larger install base than 360 in japan right now. By far too.

In Japan yes. Worldwide, no. Nobody expected the 360 to ever lead in Japan...in fact, it wasn't until just recently that 360 sales really got at this level (Blue Dragon released).

All consoles are getting their rears handed to them by the DS though.

We can't tell worldwide since 360 almost has a year head start on PS3. But my original argument was as long as it dominates the Japanese market Japanese publishers will support it. That's all I was simply saying.

We can't tell worldwide since 360 almost has a year head start on PS3. But my original argument was as long as it dominates the Japanese market Japanese publishers will support it. That's all I was simply saying.

I won't disagree with that. The 360 is gaining in Japanese publisher support which is their main goal for the Japanese market.

I think you are misunderstanding me. Forza is superior to all of the GT's.

i'd like to point out that ign names an expensive sony LCD hdtv as best panel hdtv, rather than a plasma model, when a similarly expensive plasma will blow any lcd hdtv out of the water.

Actually, OP, MGS won't be a PS3 exclusive, it's coming to Xbox 360 as well. I also read an article that Square-Enix does not want PS3 to gain too much momentum with its products, so the company will be spreading the love to other platforms as well.

I do enjoy Japanese-developer-made games more than the U.S. ones as well, and that is a formidable weapon for PS3.

It's a pure rumor at this point that the MGS developers came out and denied. I'm thinking it'll probably be a timed exclusive like previous MGS games though.

I think you are misunderstanding me. Forza is superior to all of the GT's.

His post is saying Forza 1 > GT4. Notice how he says he got the PS2 for GT, but then sold it when forza came out? He SOLD the ps2.

black levels, color accuracy, viewing angles, performance with SD content?

the screen life thing is overrated. current plasmas aren't any worse than CRTs. and my plasma doesn't seem that warm. not any more warm in any one spot than my dell LCD.

yeah. its sad when its a choice of the lesser of the 2 evils. sigh but i have more respect for MS then Sony.

but sony has more RPG's so will most likely get one someday

I had a friend who had a Neo Geo as well. What rocked so hard about Neo Geo was that the games were EXACTLY the same as the aracde games. Not ports. That effing rocked. He had some crap games, but then he also had Samuri Showdown (the first one). OMFG that game was awesome. I still miss playing it now. Most fun I EVER had playing 1v1 fighting game. I should look and see what they are going for on eBay!
