Dell 1800FP Question

I just received my 1800FP a few days ago, and am so far loving it. I do however have a few questions.
1) After my monitor has been on for about 30 minutes, I notice that the top of it is getting warm, not hot, but still warmer than my older 15 inch LCD. Is this normal?
2) After the LCD has been on the same image for a few minutes after the LCD is warmed up (whether it be desktop or Visual Studio .NET) I notice that if I switch screens to something that has a grey background, I can see a very opaque highlight of the previous screen. It usually last for about a minute or two before it seems to go away. Is this normal? This also didn't happen with my previous LCD.

Other than those two things I am very happy with this LCD. Can anyone shed any light on those two noticed things? I have tried google to no avail.

I have the same LCD and haven't experienced either one of the problems you describe...

I got an 1800FP about a month ago and have not experienced either of those problems. The top of the lcd is very cool to the touch even after being on for hours and hours, and I have not noticed anything remotely close to the opaque highlighting you describe. I have no idea what would cause those problems, but it might be something you should worry about unfortunately...

My 1800FPs do get a bit warm, but nothing close to my old CRT. I have never seen any of the residual images like you describe though. You may want to give Dell a call and see what they say about it. It may warrant an RMA.

Mine gets fairly warm on top after a good hour of use, not as bad as my old crt but definately warm.
