well, i just opened a DPA account and tried this. it gives me an ERROR page when i try to submit the order. i was approved for $5000 through Dells Preffered Account deal and choose that payment option when it was time to pay. I logged in and everything was looking great. i was about to get a 2001FP for $466 shipped with a 3 year warranty! guess it was too good to be true.

If it's been posted at a few other boards, it's certainly possible. $466 + tax would be HOT. (For reference, I got mine about 2.5 months ago for $521+tax)

I bought one in March, and it had a pixel stuck on red, and backlight bleeding at 3 corners, so I called Dell and got an exchange, and that had SEVERE bleeding everywhere after a few minutes of operation. Then for whatever reason my first monitor STOPPED having the bleeding, so in the end I sent the replacement back and kept my first panel.

Oddest thing ever. Awesome monitor though, fast for games and colorful for movies. And when I was comparing the original monitor to the replacement, using a dual monitor setup ... sweetness ... almost too much real estate when you've got two of those babies on your desk, you'll have to sit way back, or move your head not just your eyes, to see all the way across both monitors.

As for the dead pixel, no big deal. You have to sit so far back from these big panels that I was having trouble finding the bright red spot on anything but a pure black background.

Hope my experience helps. Be careful with these panels, but it's still worth it to snag one when it's on sale. Find anything bad, badger Dell about it, and they will pretty much do whatever you want, for the first few weeks anyway.
