Dell Inspiron 530 & HD 4850

My friend bought a new Inspiron 530, Q6700, 6GB RAM, and 2600XT stock. Not bad. However, he also bought a HD 4850 with it. He's wondering if the standard 350W PSU would suffice. I've read reviews where loads usually only hit around 300W in standard systems. And we all can't deny that Dell makes some pretty solid PSU's.

So my question is this, will he be able to use it? I checked his computer and there is a free 6-pin PCI-E connector.

No extra peripheals are added, just a standard HD and 2 drives.

Will it crash and burn within 3 months and take other parts with it? Quiet possibally.

350W, just sint enough to drive that card and the CPU for a long period of time. It will work, however if you cant upgrade it same time, do it quick. Because a 350 will crah and burn sooner rather than later under that kinda strain.

Care to elaborate? Any solid proof this happens?

Because I've had great experiences with Dell PSU's.

You will be running the PSU near 90+ % when under load (gaming)!, that cant be good long term, logically!
