Be prepared to wait a month before you get it. By then the price may not be worth it. I ordered a 80 GB HD from Dell 2 weeks ago and they still don't have it to ship to me. Seems like their a bit backed up, or is this standard for Dell?

Yeah, but this Lite-On drive can be "overclocked" to 48x I do believe. The ones that you got for $36 can't. Not trying to thread crap here but I think this might be a better deal if you don't mind waiting on Dell to ship it to you.

This is a warm deal.

1. Newegg also has the same drive for $66 (retail kit) with free shipping if you don't want risking the wait from Dell's shipping.

2. If you don't mind a little hassel, you can actually get the 48x12x48 Cendyne (rebadged Lite-on) for around $30.00 by following this thread.

I did #2 and already got my drive. Not thread crapping, just giving ppl alternatives on what is the best deal for them.
