To be honest, I think the transition to Harris was planned for a while. And the timing was strategically delayed until after Trump picked a VP and had his campaign set in stone.
I think Joe's refusals AND his debate failure were all theater until the change could be made.
The timing couldn't have been more perfect.
That's my conspiracy theory. I'm not married to it, but I am banging it like she's mine.

Can't disagree. They waited until after the RNC and the VP deadline. Also got a lot of press about donors whining.

AOC had a great speech. She's a natural.

And the MAGAs who love Trump and seem to praise MTG & Lauren Boebert for always speaking their mind. Universally agree that AOC's dumb as rocks and not fit to work at a Starbucks. A MAGA told me she has no brains at all. I said she was Magna Cum Lude of her class at a respected school

Idk, it’s esoteric and university dependent. Wouldn’t surprise me if a normal person didn’t know. It’s stupid as shit regardless to say it isn’t impressive. I graduated with lots of really smart people with B averages.

I've never seen anything like this and I'm in my late forties and have been quite political since I was in my teens. And analysts older than me haven't seen anything like it either. It's historic.

Listen, when I kept saying we gotta move on from Biden, putting in a new candidate, and then Kamala, and said it would 'inject energy' into the Dems, I absolutely knew it would because our ex-candidate was a bad one, but I did not dream this big. I mean it's just mind-blowing to see all this in action. I'm giddy.

Hey if it by some amazing miracle turns out to be a landslide Democratic win, I'll take it.

That said, it seems like Democrats were a drought-stricken field and all that was needed was a match. I'm not sure it has much to do with Harris, no slight intended toward her. Her campaign in general seems to be hitting the right notes, hitting Trump where it hurts without devolving to his bitter, insulting level and tone.

I ain't crowing that we won, but the sheer political change over the last month is historic. I am giddy. But I'm still out here encouraging people to vote, energizing folks, and am still part of a grassroots group where we plan on doing things like canvassing in PA starting in a month. I always tell people my happiness, and then say, now let's put in the work to get it done.

It's not just up to Harris, it's up to us too. Michelle Obama gave the greatest speech last night, and she mentioned this, how everything is so good and feels good right now, and how we need to expect setbacks, or a mistake, or just any obstacle, and we can't let it fuck with us, we need to accept the realities of a political campaign and not basically form circular firing squads expecting a 'goldilocks campaign'.

Of course, the way she said it was much much more eloquent than that was. I urge everyone to watch Michelle's speech if you had to watch one, even over Barack's.

I'd read that as a critique of the RNC more than anything, not the DNC.
