I wish I could trust Hillary, because she is really killing it tonight. As much as I like Bernie for his domestic policy, he doesn't seem like he has a good grasp on foreign policy. Then again, I honestly don't care all that much about foreign policy. It's too bad that the GOP has spent so much time flinging shit at Hillary because now it's so difficult to figure out what the real issues with her are.

Yah, the person that wants to continue the endless wars is clearly better at foreign policy.

I'm talking about knowledge here. Bernie isn't claiming he is going to end all these wars, btw.

He will.

Hillary wants to expand them.

Knowledge of what? What good is knowledge, if you make the wrong choices for the wrong reasons. These wars in the middle east is all about securing corporate profits, and Hillary loves that. More money for them equals more money for her!

Hillary isn't campaigning to expand them and Bernie isn't campaigning to end them. Where are you getting your information?

Bernie's plan is to let the middle east fight their own wars.

Hillary's plan is to expand into syria, and who knows where else.

It was a disturbing realization for me and it probably will be for you too since we seem to have similar thoughts on foreign policy. Ted Cruz is all for getting out of the ME since its oil supply isn't really needed any longer. He's for letting Russia deal with ISIS and only deploying troops when you ME partners and European partner are willing to help out.
Not a fan of anything Ted Cruz so this was strange to realize.

They just hate her in a well conditioned & utterly irrational way. It's been Hillary hate week every week for over 20 years. It's not about reasons but rather about attitudes.

Says the person practically incapable of making a rational argument.

So, why is it that half the people on the left hate her too? Are the right wing plants?

While I do think Ted Cruz has a very minor libertarian streak to him that makes that claim possible, I don't believe for a second that he'd follow through on that. Of all the GOP candidates, he is by far the worst, and that is saying something.

ONE ON ONE DEBATES ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I type in caps cause it's really true.
Note to republicans..... Under 10%? DROP OUT ALREADY and you TOO can have some meaningful debates. Just like the democrats are now doing.
This focus one on one with the democrat debate has got to be killing the republican side.
Carly, time to go. Bush, time to go. Christie, time to go. Ben, time to go. etc etc

I can live with President Bernie Sanders.

I agree 100% with what he said.. "on our worst day, both of us are 100 times better than the Republicans".

No, Bernie is just too nice.

Hillary is a center right corporatist at best! She is roughly equal to the Republicans.

"Rate threats to this nation in order 1 to 3: Russia, Iran, and North Korea"

My immediate thought: 0, 0, 0

Economics is how you manage threats these days, who gives a shit about North Korea.

One of the best debates in years.... Decades.
Moderators just let the candidates do their thing.
Very little from the moderator side. None were trying to outdo the candidates as we always see during the Fox debates. No got-cha questions.
I can imagine the republican candidates only wishing they too had such respectable moderators for their debates. And an equally substantial, issue driven debate.

This is what we are up against. Our choices.
Which side could better run the country.
Grownups? Or children.
So refreshing to finally see a debate between the grownups.

PS. You can bet you won't hear much about this debate over on Fox, or from the republican candidates other than their default anti Hillary talking points. And a few mean spirited tweets from Donald on how he'd kick Hillary's ass.
Or was that Christie's line???
God, it makes one proud to be a democrat!

So you don't want Bernie to be President because he's too nice?

If she's roughly equal to Repubs why do they hate her so desperately, just like you?

Outside of christian nutbags that are all about policing the world of muslims, who the hell does care about foreign policy? I sure as shit don't. I care about the security of us and ourselves and the prospering of our citizens.

I'm not watching the debate, but I hope (from the sounds of your post) that Hillary isn't gaining ground. As much of a socialist as Bernie is, I still believe he is the lesser of 2 evils.

Bringing religion into politics is a DIRECT contradiction to libertarian-ism. Not sure what you're smoking.

I would take a turd sandwich over Ted Cruz. Here is to hoping for Marco Rubio being out the top 2... not that I like him either..... I'm just trying to stab myself with the least painful knife.

watching Bernie on foreign policy is like watching my cat trying to do my taxes.

Q: How long would you leave troops in Afghanistan as President?
A: Iraq, ISIS, something something mooslims.

Which is a good thing. It's a fucking quicksand quagmire. The moment we put anything in, it gets harder to pull out. Just stop with the visas.

We were attacked because people got visas.

No visas, no attacks.

You wouldn't vote for either, I'm sure.

And if foreign policy doesn't matter then it's fine to vote the Neocon foreign policy apparatus back into power so we can sacrifice more lives & more treasure in some new war of aggression, obviously.

Quite the contrary, I would vote for a socialist that is kept in check by checks and balances before I vote for a moron that wants to either nuke the rest of the world and send ground troops into every country.
