Desk set up and configurations...

I am thinking about a dual monitor set up on my desktop however I have some general questions:

I use my desktop space/area for gaming and work. I have a laptop for work and a desktop PC for gaming, college work, general computer stuff (non work related.)

I want to hook up a monitor for my work latop and have a monitor for my desktop PC. ( 24 inch monitors)

I also have a set of Monitor speakers on my desk ( M Audio Bx5a) they are not that small.

How do I get this all to fit on one desk?? I thought about one big 27 inch but not sure how that would be for gaming. I sit close to my desk and it seems to big. Then it would be a pain to hook my laptop up and my PC up if I want to view same at the time it would not work with only one monitor?

Should I just get a second desk ?
What do other people do ?

I bought a 24" monitor last year... all excited about getting a good monitor. It made my eyes bug out. Sent it back and got a 19" and that works very, very well. Twin 19"s aren't to bad, I can fit two of them on the desk.... after trying both, I would rather have 2 smaller screens vs 1 big screen, but that's me.

One other trick I use is TeamViewer... I run TeamViewer from my desktop and connect to any of the other computers in the house for use or maintenance, and just toggle between windows, it works very well. You could log into your laptop, for example, from your desktop and just alt+tab between the two screens.
