Maybe I can use my job supplied iphone 5 for more than email now. Calendar looks pretty slick.
Apple doesn't do anything: "They Suck!!!!
Apple starts catching up: "They suck! Android already had that!!"
Coming from an Android user. Cool it guys. Nothing they would have done would have impressed you so go shit on another thread.
Aside from the icons I'm pretty pleased with the update. I'll have to get it in my hands before I pass any final judgment. Not seeing any default apps or file system so that's a little disappointing.
I am not digging some of these default icons. Like Safari. It just looks terrible.Aside from the icons I'm pretty pleased with the update. I'll have to get it in my hands before I pass any final judgment.
You'll never see a file system on an iOS device. The concept of a 'user accessible file system' as you're referring to it is dead on modern devices. Not seeing any default apps or file system so that's a little disappointing.
Why do you even use any apple products?
On a side note, i am excited about the flashlight functionality built in. FINALLY!
I should know better, but just curious... what does this actually mean?Let's not forget Android 4.2 was released with them being just shortcuts. It took the 4.2.2 update to make them actual toggles.

Apple has long been adored for their design genius. However, these past few releases of iOS, it's becoming increasingly clear they're now followers rather than leaders.
"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery"
I honestly believe this validates everything Google has done with Android. Not only that, but if all Apple is going to do is follow Google, that means Google will always be several years AHEAD of Apple.
No matter how you slice it, Ive is copying Duarte. The apprentice is now the master.Multi-tasking, mail swipe and lockscreen came from WebOS.
The initial quick settings screen in 4.2 were just shortcuts. Hit the wifi, it takes you to the wifi screen. Hit bluetooth, it takes you to the BT screen. They weren't actual toggles. In 4.2.2, Google made it such that if you long press, you can actually toggle Wifi.I should know better, but just curious... what does this actually mean?
What's the difference between a toggle and an 'actual toggle'? Seriously, I have no idea.
(Only thing I can think of is GPS needing to go to the location settings prior to 4.1, but even that makes no sense with your statement.)
I think default apps is something that would please a lot of iOS users. I am doubtful on Apple allowing this anytime soon. Same with the file system.
I think Apple's implementation of localized sharing is much better than NFC. No bumping phones and you can send it to multiple people at once. I think this is a great feature especially for pictures.
Ah, this must be a stock Google thing, since notification toggles always worked as expected on my SGS3 since I first got it (even with ICS at first) and my Note 2 running 4.1.1.The initial quick settings screen in 4.2 were just shortcuts.
