Detonator XP problem...

I've now downloaded the Nvidia Detonator XP drivers (Win9X) twice and each time I try to run the .exe I get an error message telling me that the file isn't a valid Win32 application. What gives? Anyone have similar problems? Please help me!

Do you have an anti-virus program running at the time of download? I've heard a couple people at work say that they've had the same problem you're having and they figured it out to be the anti-virus program interfering. Another said he used Gozilla downloading it and it corrupted it as well. So I'd say erase it and try again.

I don't have anti-virus software running, but I did D/L it using getright the second time. However, I'm pretty sure the 1st time I D/L'ed it I didn't use any downloading agent. By the way I'm running Win98SE...

I'll guess I'll just try it for the third time...

1) Make sure all antivirus software is shut down.

2) Make sure to uninstall your old drivers in the control panel (the way it sounds this is your main problem)

3) set your video card to standard VGA and reboot.

4) Now driver should install no problem.

5) Play some MAX PAYNE...
