I'm just about dead in DF...I'll be more into DC after my tennis season ends. I also just had a baby daughter (third kid), and my job's been very busy lately with travel. I currently don't have the will to make sure all my computers are all running.

I'd like to be involved in a DC project where all points stay with the team they were originally created with, and do not move with the user. Any projects like that?

Sorry to be so blunt but it isn't fair, that's kind of like having a trusted friend cleaning your house of valuables and emptying your bank account and leaving town without telling you. I think there's more here that we don't know about, and yes "Your points belong to you and not a team" but there's an honourable way and a shameful way to leave a team, this was reprehensible. Again sorry to be so blunt but - the way it is, is the way it is.

I hear ya.... after sharing, encouraging and participating in a team and then to just pick your ball up and leave depending on which way the wind is blowing is really kinda low. Again sorry to be so blunt but yea I'm pissed. If anyone is here waiting to spear your fellow teamate in the back please step forward now and leave.

The name TEAMANANDTECH means Trust, Honor, Respect and Friendship when you see the name TEAMANANDTECH and no matter in which DC project we will have earned that position on principles, hard work and dedication. This is why I and everyone that is still in this team is here. We enjoy the highs together and bond during the hard times. If you have what it takes then you will stay with the team and if you don't then there are other teams willing to accept you.

Whats with you cruicifing Fobot?!:| ,people leave teams all the time ,it happens! ,you are putting out very unfriendly 'vibes' by doing this ,do you think it'll encourage others to join? ,do you think there's now a chance in hell that he'll ever come back?

Sometimes people leave ,whether we think its for good or bad reasons it doesn't help to slate them.

Am I missing something here.... we were basically betrayed by someone who sent us from 1st place down to 3rd with no chance of seeing 1st place for a long time to come. TeamAnandtech is the laughing stock of DF and CB right now and I'm sending unfriendly vibes ???

well I've said my peace...... Time to think.

well i wish that we had a little more participation.
it would make it more interesting stats-wise within our team.
im afraid the only thing i have to look forward to know is to continually play back and forth with nic and eventually be caught by someone, hopefully.
come on, im challenging you guys, come and get me, i dare ya.
i dont have the production to keep up with the rest of the top 5 so its like hitting a wall.
i ran the client nonstop from 5pm friday to 5pm sunday (offline) on my home PC and i came home to find it stable as a rock.
i really hope and (think) DF has turned the corner here and developed into a very stable client.

As a newcomer to DF, I have been positively surprised by the stability of the client - after i had been reading negative experiences of it from earlier posts. Pity, that DF has so few participants from us. Well, hopefully the only way is up ...

The reason i turned to DF was that I found it to be more "scientifically contributing" than the average DC projects. My "fleet" is very limited, though...but i guess every small bit counts!

Have a nice day!

Yeah you are missing the point ,I know it sucks to lose a big member in any team ,god knows its happened to TA SETI enough times over the years!.
Back in October 2001 there was a big blow out between many TA members & AT mods (maybe you remember?)which resulted in many members leaving the team on the spot ,over night TA SETI lost several dozen members (& if I recall rightly) over 200,000 WUs!:Q , now whilst tempers did flare I do not recall anyone being called a traitor or 'dishonorable' ,after the arguement with the mods was sorted out sooner or latter most of those came back.
Do you think they would of done if we had 'crucified them'?.

The few who stayed away (cos of their dislike of many AT mods) we bid farewell & good luck on their future quests despite the loss to TAs standings.Usually people feel that have good reason to leave a team ,thats their (misguided) choice & our loss but no reason to slate them.

Your team will fight back if you have enough enthuasasim (spelling??) & at least a handful of members to start with ,thats how the once big RC5 team started & how SETI TA started.

Someone leaving the team is not a betrayal in itself.

Now good luck to the DF team & don't give up

Wouldn't give me fits since I'm not running a DC project yet. Though I am thinking about taking the plunge with the climate predication one that goes public in a few days. Looks very interesting.
