DFI Bloodiron + E8400

Hi all,
Building a system for a friend here

DFI Bloodiron MB (had to flash to newest bios to support chip)
Intel Core 2 E8400 (45nm) (Arctic 7 cooler)
G.SKILL DDR2 800 (5-5-5-15)

In the Bios I adjusted core volts by +100mV (adding .1volt to the default 1.2volts)

OK. My issue here is that the Vcore1 in Speedfan reads 1.28volts and the Vcore2 reads 1.15volts and my temps on core2 vs. core1 (through speedfan) reads like 49c vs 62c

(at 3906mhz right now 9x434)
Anyone know a better temp/volts reader? or any suggestions?.

It seems people don't know what's going on with the temperature readings on E8400 CPUs - apparently Intel used new sensors on the Wolfdales and monitoring software that is currently available can't read it properly.

Thanks for the tip man, it very well could be that. searching fourums I found http://forum.uabit.com/newrepl...ply&noquote=1&p=920343

the voltage and temps are much different than I think they shuld be.. (1.28volts is showing for Core1 and 1.15volts showing for core2 with temps of 64-70c) but it is rock stable for 12+ hrs of 2xPrime95.... I think I'm gonna have him watch for problems, but as long as thats stable I think I'm not gonna stress it.

Any other advice?

Umm, vcore 2 is your vdimm, when using SpeedFan.

I love these new motherboard names. I'm personally looking forward to the Intel MurderDeath and the nVidia GutRipper boards.
