Dfi Sli-dr atx pin

I know the Dfi sli-dr requires a 24 pin connector... the question is...

Is it compatible with a 20 to 24 pin converter?
For example if i wanted to use a Antec TrueBlue 480w power supply...

the pin converter will be fully compatible with the board as will the power supply the only problem is that it might not supply enough power, the reason being is that the extra 4 pins are drawing power from 4 of the current 20 pins, the extra 4 pins is purley for pcie requireing more power in the future, at the moment it is allright, if you are going to use SLI and have two graphics cards then you might need a more powerfull power supply then you curently have...

what are you amps on your 12v rail

It doesn't require a 24-pin connector, you can use a PSU with a 20-pin connector on it without an adapter. In fact I would not recommend the use of an adapter.

i used my antec 20 pin PSU on my dfi and it was fine, and stable.

so I was a dumbass and didnt know I needed a 24 pin PSU, so I got an Ultra X-Connect which comes with a 20 pin cable.... but I've heard ppl say that it might work fine... question is:

HOW DO I CONNECT IT? CENTERED? TO THE TOP? TO THE BOTTOM? help my mobo wont boot

i think (dont quote me) if you plug it in and have four remaining pins on the motherboard to the right of the 20 pin plug ... dont forget that the power conector only plugs in one way

Well.... I got it working... but its not stable... at all.
