diablo 2 help!

i have two networked computers connected through a router.. i want to play diablo 2 on bnet in the same game.. neither computer can join the game created by the other computer.. both games can run normally, and both can join seperate games.. i've opened up the ports (4000 and 6112) although i'm not sure i did it correctly.. well.. i'm pretty sure.. anyway.. it's a smc router.. any help would be appreciated.. thanks in advance

Did you open up both TCP and UDP on ports 4000 and 6112?

Are you making a public game or a private game?

it probly won't let you if you used the same cdkey on each comp
at least that has been my experiance

ok, i'm not sure what the tcp and udp stuff is.. any specifics about that??

i'm making a private game on bnet.. also, they're two seperate cd keys.. one is mine, one is my cousins..

that should be configurable on your router, I'm not familiar with its configuration, but it'd be the best place to start

yup.. looked at that.. basically tells you to open those ports.. i did that.. still no go

I'm guessing that theres something not being done for the router config, I have seen two computers behind a router be in the same game no problem
