A lot of parts of Asia Pacific seem to have gotten it now :thumbsup:

4.2.2 ROMs have been out for awhile, as well as the new GE ROMs that are coming out. Turns out that the GE phones still have Sense baked into them at certain layers.

Leaked 4.2.2 has been baked into custom ROMs since early June, but this one is official 4.2.2 OTA, and it's important to stock-bootloaderlocked-nonrooted people. Plus, custom ROM devs could use all the goodies inside it to improve their ROMs as well. So this is good news for everyone!

11.5 is released today. I'm okay with what I have right now, stock 4.1.2 rooted, but ARHD will likely be the ROM I'll be using in the future. I'll wait until 12.0 or whatever the version will be that's based on the officially released 4.2.2.

Huh? You never needed s-off to flash ARHD. At least not since he came out with 10.0 and I started following the thread.

You don't need S-OFF unless you're trying to flash modem or such. I think 11.5 is based on OTA of the 4.2.2.

I'm okay with the stock ROM too, and would have been okay waiting for the OTA. Unfortunately, I 'need' root and if I wanted to get OTA when it comes out I'd have to unroot, flash stock recovery, and relock bootloader. I doubt I'd have the patient to do that, get the OTA, and then do everything again in reverse to get root back after I'm done with the update. Might as well just stick with stock 4.1.2 until I couldn't take it anymore and then flash a custom ROM when I get bored or *really* wanted 4.2.2.

Congrats guys! As I suspected, HTC is sending these out in batches, so I'm guessing this is the next batch they sent out after I got mine (and posted here about it). I'm sure we'll see a few more of you who've gotten your codes today! :thumbsup:

4.2.2 OTA is rolling out to their Taiwanese Ones, so the US/Euro models shouldn't be waiting too long. Hopefully, this won't be the only OS update the One gets, given the crap circulating right now with the One S.

What's the deal with the new security software HTC has to release. Saw an article today that said they were in trouble because their system software wasn't up to par in security.

Got the update today. First I got a small one, like 2MB,then I tried again and the big 450MB+ update was available. A few minutes later the phone was upgraded.

Most important thing? The bar on the bottom is gone now!

Phone is running buttery smooth. Was before the update so not much change there

Yeah, Asia and Europe have gotten it. It's probably slowly working its way to the US.... where the carriers are busy updating their bloatware

Yes, 4.2.2 (Denmark) but not all of Europe has it yet. A friend who bought one in Poland still didn't get the update.

Can people with HTC One check this app (Soft Buttons Light)? I need to make my capacitive keys light up anytime the screen is on, but I can't make this work:

The app rarely works, usually doesn't. The keys don't light up either in dark (even completely) places without this (when I need it).

I'm wondering if it's because of Sense? Can people with other ROMs try it out? And please do other stuff after installing, like browsing the web, opening a vid or two and a few apps? Turn on/off the screen?

I can't find any other app that has this functionality And I really want the two buttons to be always lit whenever the screen is on...

On a funny note, most google searches are about turning capacitive button backlight off permanently :awe:
