DirectCD & Windows XP

I have installed Roxio EZ CD Creator on my system with XP as my os. DirectCD seems to have driver issues with XP. Have they come out with a patch yet?

Go here and your problem is well documented.

Direct CD

Basically, Roxio will release the XP patch as soon as XP is officially released. In the meantime, you probably won't use Direct CD.

first, what version of software do you have? I have version 5, and I updated my install with the upgrade to 5.01, but you need to follow the install instructions to the letter (this update is for Win2k, but like others, i used it to install it to XP) if you go to the Roxio site:

I would suggest, as would others, uninstall what you have now (i am assuming version 5), and reboot. then install version 5, with a custom option, and only install direct cd and easy creator, when that goes to finish the install, with a message box to reboot, DO NOT REBOOT. install the update to 5.01 (before you reboot from the first install). when that is finished, then reboot.
again, I have XP, and I am running RIXIO 5.01 with no problems.. yet...
