never mind, got off my lazy butt and went to directv website. the 4.99 covers every tivo in house

I just had my DirecTivo replace my upstairs UltimateTV. I needed a new multiswitch and wires run, so I figured a free DTivo was worth replacing one of my UTVs. The sucky thing is both my UTV's have 120 gb Hard Drives.

Now I have to wait before I upgrade my DTivo. I will see which DVR I like better. I had DTivo before and it died after 4mos, so I am a bigger UTV fan at this juncture.

Are the Samsung DTivo's rebranded Hughes receivers?

I tried the cancellation routine and ended up with the following:

Tivo for 20.00
Free showtime for 3 months
4.95 Tivo Fee.
Free Installation and relocation of existing receiver to another room.

Not as good as the others mentioned here but it beat paying the 100.00 for the tivo
