Discovery stores closing

Was in Discovery Store today and they are closing all of there retail stores and are going to be online only. Everything is 40 to 70 percent off. Telescopes were 40% off when I was in there that?s a good deal, Meade 125 was 600$ after 40%.

I was in the White Plains store last week and thought this was just a local event. The Discovery Store in SF closed years ago due to poor sales.

Even at 40% off, much of their stuff seemed overpriced. The only deal for me was some Crazy Creek inflatable stadium seats that were marked down from $40 (list) to $5 and then to $3. YMMV

I was in one a week or two ago and was wondering the same thing when I saw everything was on sale. I did not see any Planet Earth dvds in store at all. May have already sold out?

Discovery Store in Bellevue Square (WA State) had a bunch of Planet Earth dvd's 2 weeks ago.. I'm sure they're gone by now

I kinda want one of those electronic weather station things. I was going to check prices against online stores and keep forgetting to do it.

they pulled the planet earth DVDs from most stores very early in the sales...they don't need to discount those...they'll sell for full price online.

I noticed one closing awhile back. Almost everything they sell sucks, I wish I had thought to look for planet earth dvds.

yea they just didn't sell enough stuff to justify the stores existence really. the one at the metreon...well parking is no fun and the metreon is pretty lame in general
