Do people really buy

the Bose Wave radio, I?m watching QVC and they have it on for $499 and I about sh!t my pants. I?ve seen commercials for this thing before and figured they would charge like $49.95 for it. Does anybody have one of these things I cannot possibly imagine paying $499 for this thing. :Q

They do buy it, but you could get a component system for $499 that would sound a lot better than that radio.

My father bought one for the den at his house. I believe he paid $349. It's got incredible sound, and for his needs, it was worth the money.

AHHHH!!!!! Now they have an even bigger uglier one for $1,079 but that?s with a Multimedia pedestal included so you hook up your DVD player.

Hehe - me too - I too at one time was considering some sort of bose equipment. This article opened up my eyes to the truth.

people who bought this radio didnt buy it for the sound quality, they bought it because of the price. So they can say "look, i got a 500 dollar radio and it must sound good because its 500 bucks."

Yeah, they have commercials for it playing music. Why? Aren't they trying to sell you a better stereo than you have now, in which case it would sound like crap playing over said junk stereo?

I'm the non-audiophile. I have no stereo, just a computer with CSW FPS1000 speakers.
