Do you fear death?

I work in health care... People die(slowly sometimes)... I want it to be quick... I Fear a slow miserable death in a nursing home.

But I don't get why everyone seems to think if you die you are in Heaven or hell, I thought the Bible says that the dead will rise to be judge don Judgement day, if so wouldn't that mean no one is in heaven or hell?

In my beliefs that's true, no one is judged until judgement day, however each person's grave becomes a mini-version of his fate until judgment day, so if you are eventually going to end up in heaven your grave would turn into one of it's gardens, a very peaceful place and if the opposite is true (and hopefully not) your grave would turn into one of hell's pits, very painful.

I imagine old people have lived long enough to accept their own mortality. I, at age 26, do fear death, though I would gladly put myself before my wife or child.

This has been on my mind all week as well. I am also 26, and just had a friend (also 26) die suddenly in a car accident early Friday morning. The funeral was today... it's been a sad week; can't stop thinking about it.
