Rarely. I did have a sonicare, but it broke so I switched to one of those Oral-b crossaction brushes since I didn't feel like dropping cash on another sonicare. It's been awhile since I've been to the dentist too. I'm afraid the dentist is going to slap me with his little hanging light thing when he finds out how long it's been since I've been.

I floss.... every couple months. I'll get on a streak and do it every day for a while and then I just stop.

Haha to all the non-flossers. I'm sure as hell your breath will smell like sh!t in the morning, even after brushing the teeth.

The crap between your teeth(where the brush can't get to) smells the worst.

i finally, after my last checkup in the spring, have gotten into the flossing habit
i skip ~1 time per week, but i have finally got flossing into my routine

the nice hygenist lady will be happy next time i go, instead of chewing me out

Brush twice a day, never floss, haven't had a issue with cavities once I started brushing twice a day.

i have one gap on the side of my teeth that constantly gets food lodged in it. I floss there all the time because the stuck food is uncomfortable. Then, since I'm getting the floss out anyway, I give the rest of my teeth the once-over. The only time I don't is when I'm out at a restaurant or something, then I'll just quick-floss that one gap to clear the food out of it.

It's weird because it's not even that big of a gap, and you can't really see it when I smile or even if I were to pull my cheek back to expose it.

If you start flossing 7-10 days before the appointment, that gets your gums conditioned to stop bleeding, so you can fool the hygenist.

But you should get in the habit. It seems like the gums and teeth are less forgiving of being ignored as you get older.

nope. don't floss.

My sister is a dental hygenist so she gives me lecture everytime she cleans my teeth. But I figure with a hygenist and a dentist in the family, my teeth are covered if I ever need anything.

You know you get really stinky breath if you don't floss too. You don't realize that brushing alone does not clean all the crap out of your teeth. You still have gunk that gets caught up in between your teeth. That starts to smell and cause mouth odor.

Besides it doesn't take but a minute or two to just floss in between your teeth after brushing, then rinse your mouth with water. Keeps your gums and teeth healthy overall. Why jeopardize the health of your mouth like that? You will pay for it later in life, trust me.

OK. This thread has thoroughly scared me. I am going to buy some listerine today after work, brush my teeth, floss, then rinse with said listerine.

Everyday, and when I went to the dentist for the first time in 9 years, they told me I had extremely healthy gums, wahoo.

People who smoke say, "Man, you don't know how hard it is to stop smoking." Yes, I do?it's as hard as it is to start flossing... "You seem jittery." "Yeah, I'm about to floss!"
