Does Anandtech spam?

Hi,

I have just joined the forums, and noted there was no option to tick a 'no spam' box.

Also, would not accept my hotmail address (which is where I point all potential spammers).

Does Anandtech spam? Or pass on email addresses to other companies?

I hope not, otherwise I'll be pissed, I have managed to keep my email spam free for quite a while.

No I don't believe they spam. The reason Hotmail and other free email services along with AOL are blocked is due to trolls.

But they will send you boxes upon boxes of dead cpus and boards that the tech team fried.

You get the welcome email, you get emails when a thread is moved or deleted, and you get emails if you subscribe to a thread.

Other than that Anandtech will never send you anything, nor do they give your email address to anyone who will.

However if you choose to enable your profile then members can see your email address and they might send mail to you.

Anandtech does not participate in email marketting/spam of any kind.

Anandtech doesn't, but you have just been added to my GirlFriday's Computer Tips mailing list. It's full of nifty advice, like run a scandisk, and try defragging. And of course, the ever popular try rebooting, that always works for me complete with instructions and diagram.
