Well I technically have dual right now but its not working. I have a shotgun modem and an internet gaming modem. I can either use the two shotgun modems or one of them and my IGM. I have got dual to work a while ago but the isp was pretty crappy. They charged $30 a month and it took several trys to connect the second line. When it did connect speeds were in fact doubled as they should have. I downloaded up to 11k/s on napster, probably faster if I had it longer. I decided to try some other isps but it didn't turn out very well. It turns out that most of the isps around here use the same sprint service. There are others that don't such as the major isps but they suck. So all the isps I tried used the same number, which happened to not work with dual. I could connect at speeds up to 104,000kb/s but it was actually slower than one line. I've talked to many techs about this and none of them can figure it out. They have replaced several routers and things and still can't get it to work. It does work with win2k however, so they say. I am currently using AODinc which was a really good deal. They only charged me $20 a month which I got a static ip with. They are very nice so when they could not get it to work they started charging me $9.50 a month. I still have a static ip and dual access but I only use one line since dual doesn't work. I may try it again once I get win2k but this isp also disconnects randomly a lot. Its not timing out, it actually disconnects randomly. Could be 2 min after connecting, could be 4 hours later in the middle of a game. It is pretty annoying but it doesn't do it very ofton anymore and I connect at 52000 so I deal with it. So I guess i'd have to say dual is good, but its a bitch to get working.
