Does OCZ make good DDR?

I was looking at crucial ddr, but the prie has gone up so much that i can get OCZ PC-2400 256MB for only $2 more. Is this good ddr? Is is better than crucial? OR i can get the OCZ PC-2100 256MB for $6 less.

So which should i get?

OCZ PC-2400 for $51
OCZ PC-2100 for $45
Crucial for $49
Any other suggestions? I would like to keep it as cheap as possible.

They say the use Micron chips which is the same as crucial, but that company is SHADY. Their ratings are poor and their service is terrible, I wouldnt trust them.

I don't know whether or not is was on this board, but i heard a story about a guy who bought some ram from them and the first set he got were damaged, so they replaced them with another damaged pair that were so bad that they damaged his motherboard as well.

Might be better to pay the little bit extra and go with crucial.

There is a reason why people have been buying Micron memory directly from Crucial for a long time. The highest quality chips, PCBs and construction techniques coupled w/excellent service can't be beat. I know memory prices have gone up. It was bound to happen. Pay a little extra and get Crucial.

I have tried all of the following:

OCZ PC2400
Corsair PC2400
Crucial PC2100 cas 2.5

All were almost equal in performance at cas 2 167MHz 2.9v, although the crucial was able to run slightly faster memory timings

I like the Corsair 2400 myself and I have had bad dealings and good dealings with OCZ, On the price of memory how does it go, You ain't seen nothing yet, Could be it,

I haven't had problems with my PC2400's. They're Nanya make, and are clocking well. I can't say much for OCZ's reputation; but one must remember: they are a reseller only. All memory, regardless of who slaps their name on it, will have a certain failure rate. If their return/RMA process sucks, should one conclude all OCZ memory sucks???

OCZ PC3000.

Unstable at 150 cas2.5 at normal timings on 8k7a.

That's all you need to know.

If your thinking of buying it, flip a coin.
Heads: Jam a bamboo shoot under your finger nail and call it a day.
Tails: Have a nice self love session an call it a day.
This is the much cheaper way of accomplishing the same results.
