Does Ram affect video?

Ever since I installed a new 256 mb ram on my new compaq evo n600c, whenever i use programs that are more video heavy like games, I get some weird flashing. It's not the screen flashing, just parts of it, like shadows. Does anyone have any ideas why this happens and how to fix it?

Try uninstalling the new stick of ram, it may be bad. You can then swap out the two sticks and try just the new stick to see what that does.
