Oh Princess that explains it!

Their coffee is in its own food group - WMD. D:

OMG you are so right - the "coffee" is horrible! It comes out at like 300 degrees and has such a funky taste that no sugar can cover. We joked that brewing dirt would probably taste better.

What cruise line do you work for, if you don't mind me asking?

Throwing trash on the ground is one of my biggest pet peeves in this area. Can't tell you how annoyed I feel then I see someone just drop a chocolate bar wrapper, paper cup, or chip bag on the street wherever they are. It's a deliberate fuck you I'm going to do whatever the fuck I want!

It should be legal to beat the shit out of people who throw their trash on the ground.

Waste does bother me but it's mostly from an economic standpoint rather than an environmental standpoint, although there are certain environmental issues that bother me. Leaving the lights on is a good example - it's like flushing money down the toilet. If you're not in the room, turn the light off, or, if it's daylight out - open a window - or better even yet, go outside, it's nice out there.

Yeah, this bothers me as well. I spend a lot of time in state parks and it kills me to see all the trash people just toss and forget about. The water bottle thing is insane, buy a damn reusable water container already.

The nifty thing about conservation is it kills 2 organic meat free birds with 1 stone :^P

Doing small things to help the environment also tends to help your wallet.

Or when you see sparks on the road because some pig threw his/hers ciggy butt out the window! That's what ashtrays are for. And those that DO use the ashtrays PLEASE dump them in YOUR trash can NOT at a parking lot where someone has to walk through that pile of butts! There is nothing worse (well aside from stepping on a stonefish on a reef!) than tracking through a bucketload of Marlboro butts! GROSS! D: ×oo

Waste doesnt bother me since those people usually end up paying for it then bitch about how it costs too much to drive their 400hp car. A part of me was laughing when gas prices soared and people were selling large suvs for practically nothing.

i flick the cherry off the cig out the window but toss the butt in a can in my truck. the ashtray is for change and site keys, dont want to get it dirty. so, you still get the little sparks from me, but not the trash left behind.

I've been around starving people and been hungry, cold & homeless (not out of choice) at a point in my life - so yes, waste does bother me a lot.

No it doesn't. It might be used for other applications, like irrigating fields and other industrial needs, but state agencies prohibit the mixing of reclaimed water with potable water. It helps lessen the demand of potable water, but by no means has our technology gotten us to the point where the water I just flushed down the toilet will be recycled and flow back through my tap (well it does but it is incredibly cost prohibitive - such a system was recently installed on the ISS and cost $250M just to service a handful of astronauts). The process still leaves many toxic compounds and harmful pathogens to allow such a thing.

The "technology" is called mother nature. Regardless of what the immediate next use is, someone will eventually dink that water.

Yes, it bothers me. It's arrogant, disrespectful, and selfish to waste things like food, water, natural resources, etc. Anyone who continually wastes things should probably consider seppuku.

And in a million years, Mother Nature will have created a bunch more oil reserves for us to use so let's just forget about finding other sources of energy right?

Mother nature is not capable of keeping up with growing human demand. Especially when humans needlessly waste that which they have.

I hate that they don't teach the water cycle in middle school anymore. Complete failure of our education system.

Look at how dumb you are. I even acknowledged that the water cycle will gradually replenish, over a long time, but you failed to comprehend. Maybe you need to go back to middle school?

What idiots. None of this would happen if they knew the water table would immediately replenish itself and that water was not in any way a limited resource!

Agreed. Right now my province is doing ridiculously expensive upgrades to the power grid because assholes love to waste power. Some places that can't afford to upgrade the infrastructure do rolling blackouts to deal with the power demand.

Those are basically your two options right there. Do you want to conserve electricity or do you want blackouts?

"If it was just a drought, a big February or March could take this off the hook. But it's not just a drought," said Timothy Quinn, executive director of the Association of California Water Agencies, referring to moves to restrict water flows through some of the Central Valley to protect endangered fish.

It would be replenished if the gubment let it.

This video doesn't seem to have anything to do with addressing the idea that water is limitless and we can waste as much as we want. Your video is about water infrastructure and pipe maintenance.

Potable water can only be considered an infinite resource if we also assume an infinite supply of money and devalue the worth of human lives abroad still further.
