A part of me says "fuck them, they voted for this" - if you keep slapping my hand away when I extend it to help, then it becomes clear that they don't want help.
At the same time, I would still like to see them get the help they need, because doing the right thing still matters to me, even if it doesn't matter to Republicans.
Beyond a desire to help people in need even if they fucking morons who need to be protected from themselves I simply don't have the ability since my party is in the minority. They bought the ticket and now have to take the ride.
