"dominos sucks". Holy shit what an argument! In fact their pizza sounds good about now.

i have eaten pizza on 4 different continents and dominos pizza is not that bad now since they redid their sauce and other upgrades.

OP i will try this on next weeks pizza night.

Dominos needs a well done option. I hate their bready and undercooked pizzas. 3 different places were the same.

Yeah... I know what you mean. A few times the cheese wasn't completely melted and some of the veggies felt really "raw". Bread was definitely under cooked. I should do the same, and request it "well done". Would really go a long way to give it some more quality points.

Every time I get dominos its always extra well done. Kind of annoying actually.
I guess like everything else that varies by locale.

i dont even consider it real food. papa johns, little ceasers, pizza hut.. none if its anything quality. your local grocery store has their own pizzas usually ready to bake and theyre 100x better then any fast food chain

tried the "new" dominos a few months back. They've improved, but Papa Johns is still the best chain.

I'm in NY and have had the very best from local places, but I'm not a pizza snob. I eat all kinds of pizza. I had 4 of them at a kid's birthday party. Hope I didn't steal anyone's.

Yes and I wrap Domino's New Pan Pizza in butter slathered phyllo dough together with some pound cake and bacon then deep fat fry it in my home deep fryer. I dunk this in mayonnaise and eat it.

4 times a day

every

day.

Dominos may not be the best, but they aren't bad either and the 2 medium 2 topping for 6 bucks each is a little hard to turn down

The local place doesn't seem to have the undercooked issue. They usually get it right, if anything they sometimes get it a little too done on the edges.

15 years ago or so, Pizza Hut was the best, followed by PJs, then dominos.

Then Pizza Hut started declining while PJs rose, making PJs #1 and Pizza Hut #2.

Now, ever since Dominos came out with their new recipe, they have become #1 in my book. PJ's also really has gone down hill. They are still good, but their pizza size and quantity of ingredients really feel a lot less than what it used to be.

So currently, I rate it as Dominos #1, PJs/Pizza hut tied.

Took the bait and ordered.... waiting for the pizza. Haven't eaten their pizza in years this should be interesting.

Much improved for chain pizza. Not in the same league as Apizza Scholls, Dove Vive, or Ken's as Portland has become very nice for NW pizza. Still, I'd give a passing grade - like a C+, not bad but by no means fantastic.

you must have a crappy grocery store? the ones i go to use are all absolutely fresh ingredients. i think some people prefer stale frozen food because thats what they grew up on!

i tried dominos after they "oh yes we did" bs. they didnt change anything, just their presentation. the "food" is still the same. garbage.

hyvee grocery sells their own home made pizza and when youre done eating it youre stomach isnt rolling and folding over.

When i started working for Domino's in the early 90's they had fresh pan pizza and it was good then they changed it to premade bread, which was suprisingly dry and not as good so they put a zesty butter on it to give it flavor. Later they switched from regular cheese to frozen cheese, can you guess which one tasted better? Anyone see a trend starting?

Hopefully this will be good just like the changes they made a few years ago.

BTW, a thin crust pepperoni and onion from domino's still rocks! But i hate that thin crust requires me to eat more to feel full thus it costs more to buy more pizza.

So how was it?

And lol at all the people talking about their favorite pizza..

Forgot to post the review.

Actually it was pretty good. Enjoyable enough to order again.

Nothing really standout, but just a nice pan pizza now. Better than Pizza Hut or their old deep dish, which I wouldn't order again.

Not sure if the pricing is promotional, but the old deep dish was IIRC $16 for a medium two topping, the new one $7.99.

I got it half sausage/pinapple, half salami/pineapple. The salami edges were overcooked.

Thanks for the review. I'll have to give it a shot sometime this week.

Pan pizza is the worst style of pizza there is. Everyone who enjoys it enjoys a lesser product and you should feel like a lesser person for it.

I might just try this this coming Sunday for football. In my town we have a Domino's and Pizza Hut. Ill go Dominos any day over PH. I like what they've down over that last year or so. Plus, there are a bunch of pot heads that work at the one here so I get a bunch of toppings on my pizza!

Edit: As for local places, I was back in Iowa a few years ago and we ate at a place that I guess is a chain there in the state. I dont remember the name of it but is was mostly buffet but you could order your own pizza there. They had an amazing tabasco pepperoni pizza.
