I saw some new screenshots yesterday but when I just checked gamershell for them again I saw this:

"UPDATE

But the interesting question I would love to know, is who leaked it?

Anyway, its the demo from E3. It contains.

The intro. and 3 maps.

To be honest, ID and activision can only get good publicity from this.

Personally, I don't think its worth the download.

I have to agree, they're still like 8 months from release so anything you get now is guaranteed to be really slow and buggy.

Id like to see it myself, but im in no hurry to jump on kazaa & download the original doom renamed to doomIII demo 20 times until i get lucky & get the REAL Doom3 demo. (if it exists)

Then i gotta install it, play with the resolutions & settings as outlined in the insructions i got.

Just downloaded it and fired it up...

It runs HORRIBLY on my GF3 Ti200... Geez I don't know why this thing isn't better performance tuned... and I can't even find any video settings!?!?!

JUST KIDDING... I am a software developer, so that was a little Alpha release humor above... hehe

Seriously, it runs for crap on my GF3 ti200 (no surprise), characters, lighting, etc. look AMAZING, and has a very scary atmosphere. I better play some more when there is daylight out tomorrow...

bah, my poor searching skills can't even find it on Kazaa. Doom and Doom III and Doom 3 all don't find the 300mb verison.

I used download accelerator to download the demo.(just in case i had to resume)

Seems a have a corrupted wav file.
hellknight_5_1.L.wav

Im assuming this isnt "normal".

Demo plays fine but hangs a bit when the sound is needed.

Anyone care to be generous & email the hellknight_5_1.L.wav file?

I got it from newsnet. Was only about 148MB (zipped, aced & whatnot).

Gonna try it later on because I need to finish my statistics stuff first. I might need to upgrade my Ti200 though.
