DOS command question

Is there a command I can run from a:\ to get the drive letter of the HDD?

I would just try each drive letter and see were you end up.. C: is were your OS is installed and D: a lot of times is your cdrom.. but beyond that I don't know... you just type "c:" and then press enter and so on... I don't suppose that's what you realy wanted though...

DOS automatically assigns drive letters to hard drive FAT partitions, starting with C.

Not sure, but I think FDISK will tell you the drive letters...
