In the games I played above, I only died 1-2 times most games, those deaths were usually because it was a situation like I could stay and destroy a base turret so I felt it was worth dying. I see people use dust, gems, and wards, but it all seems counter-able. I mean PL is pretty tough for anyone, in the games I played him I could take anyone on 1v1 and win, so it wasn't enough to just have dust, they had to send 2-3 people to kill me and if I left lane before they arrived it was just a big waste of resources.

yeah, as PL you should win in most 1x1, he is a carry... it's his job

and no, spending money to kill enemys carry is never a waste, supporters don't really need tons of money, just they core itens... so they can still be usefull for the rest of the game...

a cristal maiden is still weak with a manta style, an anti-mage is a pain with manta

I finally decided to start the A-Z Challenge. 7 heroes down, only 90 to go?

I've started out well, though. I lost twice with Axe, but went 6-0 with the other heroes. Bloodseeker is next.

Troll lore is hilarious

It's an easy thing to offend a troll. A prickly and contentious race, trolls thrive on argument and strife, missing no excuse to raise their voices in dispute. Males grow to maturity in subterranean chambers beneath their matriarch's domicile, feeding and amusing themselves while contributing nothing. Often they stay for years beyond the age of maturity, while the matriarch provides them with sustenance. When young trolls are finally pushed from their sub-chamber, they gather with others of their kind, forming roving gangs of malcontents who complain loudly about all manner of vexation. As much as trolls love to argue, imagine how rare it is for a troll to be driven from his own kind for being too difficult to get along with. Such was Jah'rakal's fate, a monger troll from deep in the Hoven. So deluded was he, so bitter and abrasive, that even other trolls found his company intolerable. After one particularly vitriolic outburst in which he claimed the lion's share of loot from their latest raid, his cohorts finally snapped. They turned on him, beat him with clubs, and drove him from the encampment. Enraged at his banishment, he returned the next day, armed with steel, and slew them all, one by one. He then swore a blood oath: he would ever after be a fighting force unto himself. Now he roams the world as the Troll Warlord, bitter and angry, the Imperial high commander of an army of one.

Rod of Atos, what a great item. How have I never noticed it before?

Thanks for the PoE response, I'm gonna keep playing with Duelist to see how it goes.

If you have any question about Dota 2, let me know. I invested 6 years on this stupid game.

You can now view your ELO score through Dotabuff.com!

This was shut down by Valve yesterday (they've been intentionally hiding them to prevent flames/ragers). So the score you see will be useless and outdated after tonight. Go check it out to see where you stood among everyone in your entire Dota 2 career:

How to view your DBR:

1. Go to Dotabuff.com
2. Log in using your Steam ID
3. Go to 'Records' tab, your rating is shown at top

This shows the DBR distribution and explanation.

I am 1909 (Platinum), 98% percentile, 973-956. I played this game for so long since Dota 1, so I was really excited to see my score. I thought I could break 2000, seeing as top 1% is still a lot of people if you're a seasoned player. But then, I never really played seriously- random picks and trying fun builds most of the time. Fun is foremost.

I guess I'm happy with it.

I am a little surprised at mine at the 88th percentile, seeing as I have only one game in the Very High bracket ever. It either means Valve's MMR is drastically different, or the Very High bracket is very small.

Odd that they put names to the groups, because I was put in Platinum, but we are clearly at very two different levels.

**9 Heroes down in A-Z Challenge.

heh, mine is Gold and 72nd percentile which is higher than I would have predicted. I think I expected to be in the gold group, but not that high of a percentile. I only have 110 games to date

I need to play more Dota. Never enough time. I played the original for several years, gave it up for a while, then got into the Dota 2 beta and I've played around 300 games. I'm not great, but I'm definitely way better than I used to be. Just watching Purge and the International helps me pick up stuff I was ignoring or didn't even think about.

1637 91% percentile.

That'll explain why my opponents have gotten better, but not why my teammates have gotten worse

Dotabuff.com is shut down and they are trying to get people to spam Valve with emails.

I think they overstepped their boundaries with the DBR. Valve did not want a public rating system, and they may or may not have been very clear about that.

Dotabuff was a great resource and I really liked the new changes they made. I with they would have just made the changes and left the DBR out of it, because seeing the win rate % of certain skill builds on heroes is very interesting to see. They had something great and pushed too far.

They are not truly "shut down," though. They still have all the data they gathered up until this point, but are making people believe they are down and not allowing access to other pages.
