I read that article; However, I am questioning its reliability becasue it seems to written by someone who has not seen the show. For example, Sir Anthony Strallan's name is spelled Strachan in the article. And it says the actor who plays Strallan hinted at a wedding with Edith.

Good year but not sure why they had Bates go nuts after getting out of jail and rape and kill Sybil since she married the irish guy and was "dirty".

Was there more to him not liking the irish cause and thinking anyone that gets knocked up by a irish man should be raped and killed?

Yeah I just read an article about it, what a shame. Apparently this happened with the Lady Sybil actress too, people want to leave the UKs most popular show to do less grand things, more power to them I guess.
