Drain valves and other things

Hey guys whats up. I've been running my water cooling setup for awhile now and I've been now itching to redo my loop but haven't done so yet. One of the biggest reasons is how much it is going to suck to drain my loop. That's why I'm in the market for some sort of drain valve.

I was looking for something simple and easy to drain and something that isn't restrictive. I was looking at this koolance drain valve "no nozzles". The thing that scares me is that it has an anodized aluminum body. I'm not sure if I should go with this because of corrosion. Is there a better alternative to this? I'm using masterkleer 7/16 ID (5/8 OD)

I also wanted to fit my 9800GTX with a XSPC full waterblock. Is this a good block or would you recommend something else? (I'd rather have full cover blocks) Would my loop be able to handle it?
My loop:
D-Tek V1 CPU water block (On a E6750 Dual core with mild OC to 3.3 GHz)
MCP 655 Vario
Swiftech MicroRes
Swiftech MCR 320 Radiator
Masterkleer 7/16

Any information and suggestions appreciated! Thanks

that attachment is made of alu.

the rest of your stuff is copper, you will be mixing metals and thats avoidable.

Do you have a picture of your loop? i can help you possition a drain.

How much is your budget?

Ok here is a picture of my loop.
Whole rig. It's taken from the iphone camera so it isnt great quality.
A better shot of the inside.
Another bad quality photo but this time showing the radiator
This was my first water cooled computer so I know the tubing can be routed better the second time .

My budget I guess would be $30? Is that a good budget for a drain valve?

I was also considering some UV tubing from XSPC (sold at jab-tech) but I'm also leaning towards just a clean look with pure distilled water and pt nuke. Not sure yet....

Update: Got my hands on a EK 9800 GTX block. Hopefully my MCR320 can handle the heat load. I was looking around and saw that some people use an upside down t-line with a fillport to drain. I'm not sure how well that would work out though...

A Y fitting like this one at jab-tech? What about quick disconnects, are they worth it and do they aid you in draining easier?

u need a T to connect the quick connects. And also its a more costly approach and if you lose the other quick disconnect = fail in drain.

Ok, Looks like I'll be getting this y-fitting and DD Acetal Fillport.
Does it matter the which way the y-fitting is positioned? Also, can my MCR 320 (planning to get yates medium) handle E6750 (3.3Ghz mild OC) and 9800GTX (no OC)? Thanks and sorry for all the questions ......

yeah shouldnt be too much.

So the Y you configure it like this:

[Drain] [loop]

[Loop]

direction of flow going downwards.

So you maintain flow.
