I also know that in the past year, there have probably been a lot of these dreamcast Yay, nay questions, but I can't find any, so here's to it!!!

lots of artifacts, and UT looks like crap!!!

but for the price, what's not to love?

The PS2's are almost three times as much, so I don't know what to do!

Oh yeah, Dead or Alive 2 is absolutely amazing for DC!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm, where are you getting that figure from? The PS2 will retail for $300US (don't tell me otherwise, because we will be selling it for that price at Best Buy). As it stands the Dreamcast still costs $200. So, the PS2 costs a measly $100 more; but consider the versatility you're getting. You'll easily spend that much on a good set-top DVD player, and the PS2 can do both (games and DVD movies).

The Dreamcast is a nice system though. It became a far more impressive unit than I ever thought it would.

ha! You know what the PS2 will cost, but the Dreamcast is $130 now, and I am sure that there are places that you could apply coupons to that would bring it down to $100-$110.

A computer with a broadband connection is also nice to have with a dreamcast...

Dreamcast is here to stay now, so don't be afraid about SEGA not supporting as well like they did for the Saturn. Sony's problems and delay only help increase SEGA's customer base. Even the PS2's hardware seem mediocre now X-box is just around the corner.

As for X-box being &quot;around the corner&quot;... It's still at least a year away. It's scheduled for fall of 2001, if there's no delays.

I suppose that guy was reffering to the fact that now with a DC and a Burner and Broadband, you can pirate games really easily. I think connecting a DC to broadband is pretty far away.

Erasmus, you work at Best Buy and get all defensive about knowing the price of PS2, and yet you are oblivious to the fact that DC hasn't been $200 for quite some time now...odd. It's been officially $150 since late August, and cheaper at some places.

EDIT: oh, and Yay. The DC is an awesome system, much more worth buying now than a PS2.

bumping this up because I just bought one from Target, it's $150, but the thing is they have a 90 day return... or if it goes down in price within the next three mon. I will get the difference It's playstation week, and I was thinking of how they will perform

usually around 35fps average
Ecco<sp?> runs poorly when you play it in certain areas.

Play CRAZY TAXI!!!!!! and SOUL CALIBUR!!!!!! I think SC runs at 60FPS...


and yes a burner is necessary to &quot;enjoy&quot; a dreamcast cheaply
