My wife has a 9600 that is DVI connected to a 2005FPW. She plays EQ2 and it works just dandy

My wife has an older system with an nvidia 64MB mx400. Is there any way I can get 1680x1050 with drivers? They say drivers are on the CD, but Dell sure can not answer the question. Also, can I use ROTATE as I do not see that for the MX400 either.

TIA

Deal over in a few hours...can anyone answer this?

TIA

The OP has already purchased the 2005FPW... Why are you trying to convince him otherwise?

This was asked earlier but didn't receive a response:

How well does this monitor handle scaling down?

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and usually run newer games at 1280 x 1024. 1680 x 1050 might be pushing that card a little too much.

i used to have a 9.8k pro on 1280x1024, it was wonderful.
i don't suppose 1680 should be much more of a challenge. you may have to reduce the quality a tidbit, though.

addressing the discussions earlier in this thread, I agree that in some cases a cathode ray tube will look better than liquid crystal, especially while gaming.
but otherwise, like for your desktop and stuff, the LCD takes the cake. it's style and sleekness and size is also unmatched, so all this makes up for the slight loss of quality from the CRT (example: anti-aliasing) Compare it, side by side (LCD & CRT) an anti aliased image and you'll see!
