How well does this monitor handle scaling down?
I have a Radeon 9800 Pro and usually run newer games at 1280 x 1024. 1680 x 1050 might be pushing that card a little too much.
i used to have a 9.8k pro on 1280x1024, it was wonderful.
i don't suppose 1680 should be much more of a challenge. you may have to reduce the quality a tidbit, though.
addressing the discussions earlier in this thread, I agree that in some cases a cathode ray tube will look better than liquid crystal, especially while gaming.
but otherwise, like for your desktop and stuff, the LCD takes the cake. it's style and sleekness and size is also unmatched, so all this makes up for the slight loss of quality from the CRT (example: anti-aliasing) Compare it, side by side (LCD & CRT) an anti aliased image and you'll see!
