!!!!!DSL AVAILABILITY!!!!!

OK, this is a big problem i have been having and i need some help from the pros.

DSL isn't available in my house, which is weird because:

1) Houses to all directions of mine can get it!
2) Only houses on MY BLOCK can't get it.

I'm wondering if it could be something wrong with our line or something. Anyway reply if you know whats wrong or have any idea.

You said it. Problems with lines.
We have the same problems where i live in Louisiana.
I have DSL from 2 carriers and others a few blocks can't be serviced.
The explanation by BellSouth is that the phone lines are in poor condition and will require rewiring to provide service.
Also I understand that you must be within 1500ft form a switch station and that they locate these where the good lines are most dense. (bucks for their money).

DSL requires copper lines to run. It could be that your house has fiber-optic wiring, which would only allow you to get IDSL, which isn't all that great. That's what happened where I live. My building is all wired with fiber-optic telephone lines. What was strange was that Northpoint (when they still existed) was able to get me DSL, while Telocity, Covad and Earthlink weren't. If cable is available in your area, that's a much better way to go. You don't have to wait as long for installation and the speeds are a lot faster than DSL, for less money also. Hope this helps.

No cable (comcast has delayed it 3YEARS!) I don't think i have fiber-optic cable in my house, i think its just bad quality. Is there anyway for a company to repair it for you?

That is a Blanket statement an is a MISINFORMED notion.

I Switched From Cable (charter) to DSL (hickory tech) I saved 14 bucks a month AND while my download speed is SLIGHTLY LOWER my DO get much Better pings when Playing games than I did WIth charter.

Well, I guess I just based that on my own personal opinion. While my SDSL was good while I had it, I like my cable service much better.

You can call your telephone company to change your line to copper wire, or you can call them to do a repair. They should be able to do it for you, but it'll cost you.
