Hey!
I'm at my father's house in Raleigh, NC. Internet here is via DSL Modem, specifically a Westell VersaLink 327W courtesy of BellSouth.
Except that its wireless capabilities have died out. Since the only way for me to have 'net service in my room is via WiFi, this has me... well, let's just say I'm more than a little upset and leave it at that.
I can't call BellSouth (I'm not authorized on the account) and they'd be useless tonight anyways (tomorrow being Thanksgiving)... I've come up with an out-of-the-box idea.
I have, sitting in front of me, a rather old (but still functional) Belkin WiFi Router, Model # F5D7230-4 v. 1444. I want to hook it up to his modem and get my WiFi back
I can see that there are six ports on the back of this router. One says "Connection to Modem". Four more say "Connection to Computers", and the sixth is the wall wart plug.
I actually have enough wits still about me to determine that the Westell connects to the Belkin router via the "Connection to Modem" connector.
What I need to know is... what do I set up inside the Belkin router (software config crap) in order to make it pipe Internet out through its antennas?
HELP!!
EDIT: I just realized that I left out something important -- I know the password to get into my Belkin (and if not, I'll just reset it) but I have *no* way of getting into the software config for the Westell.
