First off, I'd just like to say everyone was right, I have the modding bug more than ever. Even after my watercooling project was long finished and running great as is, I still search Al Gore's interwebs endlessly for bigger and better parts.

I recently came across something new on Petra's Tech, but I forgot to post about it a few weeks ago when I first saw it.

We're all familiar with Dtek's Fuzion cpu block, but now it looks like they have a new...or mostly new...kid on the block. I haven't seen any reviews on it, and Petra's description really doesn't say what differentiates it from the old one.

Is anyone using this block? Good, bad, general thoughts?

That v2 is an excellent block at that. I still like the EK more tho.

My current toy block is the cuplex DI:

When i say toy i dont mean it sucks. Its actually pretty good. I mean toy as in im fiddling with it.

RAWR i should show you teasers on why im playing with it huh?

Heres real picture of it from me:

I'm starting to really appreciate German engineering! And it's pretty too! From what I've read the v2 is a step up from the v1. By how much remains to be seen.

i just like it cuz its my second most expensive block i own. The first being my silver TDX which i paid almost 200 for.

However i dont think that silver TDX is ever coming out of retirement. :\

You got that baby in a presentation case? The next time I feel like a refit I'm going to mount up a Cuplex, just to be like you!

I've got the v2, moved up from the original. I also upgraded my loops, pumps to the 355 w/ xspc tops and case so I can't give acurrate temp differences but I like the v2. With a cpu only loop, triple rad my quad loads around 35 according to realtemp.

all dteks come bowed.

If you have the V1 you can tweek it by putting an EK oring instead of using the stock washer you get with the accelerators.

Anyhow, HW look at WB's oc. He's not a extremeist. But those are still dayam good temps you got there wood butcher.

i would love a V2, however, i still have an unused EK + Cuplex DI i need to use.

I put a straight edge on it and it is, barely. I had to swap mobo's after installation as mine died and I used a little thicker insulation on the backplate. I'm certain this increased contact pressure. I'm not too sure about the calibration on realtemp yet but yeah it reported 35-36 c at load w/ prime @ 3.2, 35-26c idle w/ the new board P5E-VM HDMI. This is a screenshot of the P5K-VM before I cooked it, volt modded running 3.6 40c.
Core temp @ 3.2 is 5c cooler v/ my new loops so I'm thinking a 2-3 degrees difference because of the block.
I have no real "system" or method that I followed to compare the two machines because the loops changed alot but if I get some decent sinks on the mofsets I'll look for another vmod for the P5E.

thanks, MATX is a challenge, 3.2 is so far the best I could manage voltage/ stability for 24/7 so far. I had 3.6 solid w the vmod but like I said, smoked done did, stick a fork in her.

Actually, from what I understand, the v1 came out of the box bowed while the v2 doesn't. Which makes sense considering the individualized nature of bowing.
