dual booting win2k and freebsd

I'm trying to help my friend with a dual boot setup..he's installed win2k (ntfs) on one drive and freebsd on another drive. the istalls went fine, but the problem he's having is getting win2k's boot manager to locate freebsd.

Anyone with any advice on this one? thanks in advance

its been a while, that is why I write this with deletable 'ink'.

I think your best best is to set the bios to boot from A drive, and have the FreeBSD bootdisk in there when you want to use FreeBSD.

You should also possibly be able to select which HD is the first to boot. and finally...

There are bootmanagers out there that will recognize the different OS's and allow you to choose. I am not a big fan, although I have used them without trouble. (I read soemthing about how they 'layer' beneath the OS and that it could cause troubles.....this could be BS but its what I remember reading somewhere)
