Dunkin' Donuts v. Krispy Kreme

We recently lost a KK in the area, and it was downright tragic; DD, imo, just isn't anywhere near as good as KK. What do you all think?

As a whole (sandwiches, donuts, coffee, variety, service..) D&D smacks Krispy Kreme around with a large trout. The only thing KK has on them are sometimes you get fresh baked donuts, and they're glazed ones are to die for. But D&D wins almost any other battle.

KK's glazed donuts are the best glazed donuts I've ever had.

I need to find a place with good cruellers, though - don't remember of KK has those.

Are you guys kidding? Man. Maybe it's different in your areas, but anywhere I've gone DD has terrible donuts as opposed to KK.

Also, I've NEVER gotten fresh/hot donuts from DD, and I get them all the time from KK.

i vote D&D simply because if i eat 3 donuts there, i don't exceed my recommended daily intake in calories and clog my arteries.

You're not asking us to compare donuts though, you don't even mention them in your OP. D&D is more of a coffee/breakfast establishment now, and Krispy Kreme has like 2 or 3 good donuts and awesome glazed ones, but that's it. D&D has awesome coffee, breakfast sandwiches, iced coffees and other exotic cooled drinks as well... KK falls short as being the better business.

Edit: Ok, you do say "donut vending locale" in the poll, but I still believe having 'some' better donuts doesn't make it better. I never liked the food store donut boxes they put out either, so unless I'm in the mood for glaze and I see that red light on, I'll usually go to D&D.

I think it must be a location issue, because I have the exact opposite problem from you.

I'm flabbergasted at the pollage! We have one of the original Krispy Kreme stores here in downtown Atlanta with the whole conveyer belt process done in front of you, and hands down it beats Dunkin Donuts any day. You can just smell the donuts when you drive by.

I was going to argue with you, then I realized I've never had Dunkin' Donuts.

DD wouldn't even be considered a donut shop to me if they didn't sell donuts.
