Hello,
I just put together my new system today, and everything was working fine and dandy(including the DVD player playing DVD's) , except when i installed the 4 in 1 drivers, suddenly my DVD player stopped playing DVD's(needed to install them to get into UDMA mode)...
I was wondering if anybody could maybe help me figure out what is going on..One strange thing I noticed is my DVD player is being referred to as a SCSI drive in hardware profile, eventhough it isn't a SCSI drive, and that is the only option that comes up when i search for a device...Also, if I leave the drive hooked up like this, it becomes VERY hot, and also freezes my system when I try and boot it up sometimes.
Here are the important specs of the system..
Running Windows 2000 Pro
MSI K7T PRO 2-A Motherboard
AMD Thunderbird 1ghz processor
Sony DDU220E 4x(i think) DVD drive
4.28 VIA 4 in 1 drivers.
Any help would be greatly appeciated...
Thanks
